What is shotcrete?
Shotcrete is a construction technique where concrete is conveyed through a hose and then pneumatically sprayed at high velocity onto a surface. This method allows the concrete to bond quickly and form a solid structure, making it ideal for various construction applications, including pool building.
Once the shotcrete has been sprayed onto the surface to form your pool, it is reinforced with conventional steel rods, fibers, and steel mesh to ensure durability and strength. While the term “shotcrete” generally refers to both wet-mix and dry-mix applications, in pool construction, it specifically refers to the wet-mix method, whereas dry-mix is referred to as gunite. Shotcrete is highly versatile, allowing it to be applied to various surfaces and shapes, including overhead and vertical areas, ensuring a seamless and strong structure for your pool.
